The Hellboy Pop Art Series
This series of images was created in my final year at Howard Community College. We were tasked with creating multiple images that, when printed and folded a certain way, would make an accordion booklet. I chose a series of Hellboy portraits to commemorate my favorite film series. The series has become quite popular on my Instagram, even being commented on by Doug Jones, one of the lead actors in the Hellboy franchise.
Alternate Book Covers
Another series created during my early college years, the challenge for this project was to redesign 3 book covers. I chose some of my favorite books, so I wouldn't have to read new ones, and decided on a minimalist, hand-drawn style.
The T.D.K. Poster
This poster design deserves its own separate category on this page because of the reception it had. I made this poster in Photoshop a few weeks before the premiere of The Suicide Squad, when the hype for the film was at its peak. The character depicted is not a major character in the movie, but became a cult classic when Nathan Fillion was revealed as the actor.
I first posted this design to Twitter, where it gained over 1,000 likes overnight, including reactions from director James Gunn and various actors in the film. I then posted it to my Instagram page, where it reached about 130 likes before being reposted by Nathan Fillion himself. His post has, to date, gained almost 50,000 likes and hundreds of supportive comments.
This is my most popular artwork by far, and I'm proud to share it with the world.
System Source Computer Museum
For a graphic design class I took in 2022, the students were tasked with completing a brand redesign for a local non-profit organization. Naturally, I chose the one option that I was already invested in - vintage computers. I redesigned SSCM's existing logo and created a brand guide from scratch, as well as a mockup website, which the owner of the museum called "fantastic!"
Songs to Quarantine With - Record Project
This vinyl sleeve was created early in the COVID-19 pandemic. Our task was to create a hypothetical album cover based on songs we had been listening to while being trapped inside. My take blends imagery from Journey with a more modern twist, emphasizing the heart.
The Ive Watch - Package Design
For my 2022 package design class, I took it upon myself to redesign the Apple Watch box. Fueled mostly by my issues with the current box design, the Ive Watch is the perfect combination of colorful and clean.
